Important information
Sliding scale
*I offer my consultations at prices I believe to be affordable and accessible for herbal health care but also offer a sliding scale option for folks.
A sliding scale considers the socioeconomic factors and/or injustices that may enhance or inhibit one’s capacity to engage in services for financial exchange, whilst enacting an alternative financial framework for the exchange of services for money within the defiantly dominant capitalist system in which these exchanges operate.
Sliding scale is a non-judgmental system of honesty, trust and self-identification, without shame or the burden of proof. As an individual’s circumstances may change over time, whether one uses the sliding scale may also change.
When determining if the sliding scale is for you, consider intersecting factors where racism, sexism, ageism, queerphobia, transphobia, class, ableism and other systemic and structural barriers impact access to equitable healthcare.
Payment plans are also available for any price point on the sliding scale. Email me at info@leighdumpletonherbalism.nz for payment plans or more information about the sliding scale.

Prescriptions
My approach to herbal consultations can be considered ‘slow medicine’. I take the time to get to know you and your unique situation, to inform an individualised recommendations plan. As I currently source the bulk of my herbal prescriptions from external dispensaries, any prescriptions you purchase will be posted to you and as such will take a period of time before reaching you. Please take this into consideration when booking an appointment with me.
In time, I also intend to increase the amount and type of herbal medicines I grow and make myself that I am then able to include in client prescriptions.
