Make Your Own
Herbal Tonic Workshop
Gaza Mutual Aid Fundraiser
We are herbalists for a Free Palestine. We stand in solidarity with Palestinians in this ongoing genocide and offer this herbal medicine-making workshop as a small way to directly provide material aid to people in Gaza.
If you too want to help and have an interest in herbal medicine, then come along to this workshop where you will learn how to make, and take home your very own herbal tonic.
All funds raised (minus fee collected by Humanitix, see below) will be donated to Gaza Mutual Aid Solidarity, with money going directly to families in Gaza to support their basic needs.

Suggested donation amount $50+ (but we recognise people have varying degrees of financial access/limitations and so any amount is welcomed and accepted. This suggested donation is based on the approximate cost of attending a similar paid workshop, which accounts for the time, resources, skills and knowledge, outlays and number of facilitators involved).
***Bookings essential (to ensure we have enough herbs and to help plan the day etc)
(Humanitix, the booking platform we are using, take a fee from each booking. See here for more details about this and where these fees go...https://humanitix.com/nz/pricing).

Fermented Herbal Sodas
For the WAO Autumn Harvest Festival, I will be demonstrating how to create refreshing and healthful sodas using simple household ingredients and accessible herbs, either foraged locally or found in your pantry.
You'll learn about the fermenting process, its health benefits, and the unique properties of the herbs used to flavour these delightful drinks.
Participants will receive a recipe and herb information card and have the opportunity to make their own soda during the workshop to take home and enjoy. All materials are provided, you just need to bring a wide-mouthed jar.
